Aimen Moussaddy

Neurologist, Professor & Community Activist for Justice and Peace

Dr. Aimen Moussaddy is a neurologist specializing in vascular neurology, and an associate professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University. He completed his neurology residency at Université de Montréal and earned a postdoctoral fellowship diploma in Stroke Medicine from the Calgary Stroke Program. He currently practices at The Neuro and the McGill University Health Centre, where he also serves as Fellowship Director of the McGill Neurovascular Program.


Beyond his clinical and academic work, Dr. Moussaddy is deeply engaged in community dialogue and advocacy. A longstanding partner of Montreal City Mission and a regular contributor to Muslim Awareness Week, he brings a compassionate and justice-centered voice to conversations at the intersection of health, trauma, and social responsibility. His past talks have explored the neurological and psychological impacts of war and displacement.


Dr. Moussaddy consistently emphasizes that his advocacy for peace and the well-being of the Muslim community in Canada is not separate from his medical work—it is at the heart of all his endeavours.
